§ 6.6.0. Detached Residential Buildings

    6.6.1

    Exterior Wall Design

    A.

    The front and side facades shall be a minimum of 50 percent brick or stone finish on each elevation. The balance of the front and side façades shall be finished with wood siding, wood shakes, or fiber cement type siding. The rear façade shall be finished with brick, stone, wood siding, wood shakes, or fiber cement type siding. The front and side facades shall incorporate changes in building material, texture, and color. The front façade design shall include at least two of the following elevation features:

    Shutters

    Covered porches

    Bay windows

    Roof eave brackets

    Cornice

    Architectural entrance door surround

    B.

    Porches, decks, and balconies shall incorporate architectural columns. Exposed timber column posts shall be prohibited.

    6.6.2

    Roof Design

    A.

    Buildings shall be designed with fully pitched roof. Minimum roof pitch shall be 4 in 12.
